Sushi

Nowadays, Sushi is becoming the most popular of all the Japanese food in the restaurants. In fact, many of us wanted to taste how good sushi as food is even if it did not originate in our country. However, we still do not know how it is being processed and how it affects ones health. How is this food different from our favorites? When and where did it originate?

Sushi originated in China and was being introduced to Japan during 7th century. It lasted for many centuries as a Japanese heritage up to the present. Some might say it is a raw fish and some might say not. According to some, sushi is a combination of shellfish, raw or cooked fish vegetables and fermented rice. However, some may also say that it is cooked because it is sushi; in Japan if raw fish is used it should be sashi according to the meaning.

We all know that fish is loaded with high quality protein and calcium that our body needs, therefore sushi is good for our health. It has omega3 fatty acids that enhances blood circulation and improves heart activity. However, if it is improperly processed it could be also harmful to our health. If it is not cooked properly, you might ingest the parasites in the fish which might contribute many diseases which would result in health risks.

In history, sushi has its classifications.

1. Nare-zushi. The traditional lacto-fermented rice dish in Japan made of salted fish wrapped in fermented rice. The well-cooked or gutted fish wrapped inside the fermented rice for protection from any bacteria or food contamination. Japanese only eat the preserved fish and the rice was being disposed.

2. Namanare or Namanari. Another classification of sushi which is mostly popular in Japanese restaurants Muromachi period. Japanese prefer to eat Namanare because they want to eat rice with partly cooked fish together. As the years went by, the new way of wrapping the fish in the rice was no longer a means of preservation but a new fish dish in the entire Japanese cuisines.

3. Haya-zushi. This third type of sushi was the beginning of using rice not for fermentation purposes but as food. Rice is now being mixed with vinegar in the fish and vegetables and dried food preservatives as well for additional flavors.

As of today, all types of sushi are now very popular in every Chinese and Japanese Cuisines. In fact, each country that popularized sushi foods utilized many local flavors in order to create a new variety of sushi depending on the taste of the local civilizations.

HTC One S gets manhandled once more before its announcement

HTC will hold its MWC press conference in less than 48 hours, so there is still time for some leaked product images, right? The company's upcoming One S mid-range device has just emerged fresh from yet another photo shoot, where it happily posed alongside an HTC Sensation.

Previously, known as HTC Ville, the One S is going to be positioned under the quad-core One X, and bound to pack a serious punch for a mid-range device. The smartphone is expected to feature a dual-core CPU, 4.3" AMOLED display, 8MP camera, Beats Audio, and Android 4.0 ICS with Sense 4.0.

As you can also see from the photos above, the HTC One S is seriously slimmer than the Sensation - a welcome change from the current HTC offerings.

We will be covering the HTC press conference on Sunday live, so expect the full scoop on the One S, together with the rest of the company's lineup.

Nokia to unveil cheaper Windows Phones at MWC

We all know that Nokia is the king of entry level devices, and it seems they're keen on retaining that title as their upcoming press conference at MWC will supposedly reveal several new midrange WP-powered devices, alongside the new Lumia 610 and the worldwide version of the Lumia 900.

This also comes alongside news that Nokia has become the largest Windows Phone manufacturer, beating out HTC. This is truly an impressive achievement, considering Nokia has only been selling Windows Phone since the start of Q4 2011.

The Nokia/Microsoft partnership would to the casual observer sound like two behemoths dominating a significant piece of the global smartphone market, but in case you're one of the few that need to be reminded, WP and Symbian combined accounted for less than 14% of global smartphone sales in 2011.

The Nokia press conference at MWC is coming up fast, so we expect to find out exactly which devices Nokia plans to unveil very shortly.

LG announces the Optimus 4X HD, to be showcased at the MWC 2012

Another day, another new LG phone. Today we will be talking about the new Optimus 4X HD, one of the most exciting phones to come out of LG recently. From the name you can tell that it will be a successor to the Optimus 2X, which it is, and it improves upon the older model in almost every way.

For starters, you have a massive 4.7-inch, 1280 x 800 resolution IPS display. Powering it will be Nvidia's Tegra 3 processor. As you may know, the Tegra 3 has four performance cores, along with a fifth companion core, which takes care of the more menial tasks while consuming very little power. Then there is 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory, 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera, MHL, DLNA and a 2,150mAh battery. Despite all of this though the phone will only be 8.9mm thick.
The Optimus 4X HD will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, but LG will also be running its custom skin on top, as can be seen from the pictures. Also, the Optimus 4X HD will have dedicated keys below the display, unlike the virtual keys on the Galaxy Nexus.
The Optimus 4X HD will go on sale in Europe in the second quarter of this year. For more information, we will have to wait for MWC.
